Job Description:
Maryland Environmental Service has an opening for a Maintenance Supervisor at our Montgomery County MRF in Derwood, MD.
This position provides supervision and performs installation, maintenance and repair of equipment used for a variety of environmental projects.
Estimated Pay Range:
$53,011.
07 - $72,890.

Graduation from a standard high school or possession of GED equivalency certificate, plus 7 years experience performing installation, repair and maintenance of mechanical, electrical or electronic equipment in an industrial setting, including 3 years of supervisory responsibilities.
Specific sites may require power generating experience and/or power transmission, hydraulics, welding, plumbing, HVAC or light fabrication.
Applicants may substitute Bachelor' Degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering for 4 years of the required experience OR formal schooling from an accredited vocational school with a major in a related field may be substituted on a year for year basis for up to 3 years of the required experience.
Must have a valid driver's license with less than 5 points.
Candidate must be knowledgeable in electrical and mechanical operation of plant processing equipment and be proficient in troubleshooting and repairing same (i.
e.
:
motors, blowers, conveyors, balers, screeners, etc.
).
Proficiency in metal fabrication and heavy equipment repair skills a plus.
