Training Manager
The Arc Montgomery County has an exciting position for a Training and Development Specialist.
The Training and Development Specialist is responsible for developing, administering, and evaluating specific training programs within the company.
The Training & Development Specialist ensures that all employees are provided learning and development opportunities for their role and tenure.
This position will evolve as Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA) requirements change.
Some of the responsibilities include:
Oversees and participates in the development, administration, evaluation and tracking of new employee orientation and mandatory training for all staff to cultivate a learning organization.
Compiles and distributes schedules and descriptions of upcoming training classes to appropriate persons/sites.
Tracks each staff member's trainings and distributes reports of approaching training expirations to staff and to supervisors.
Work with managers and supervisors to meet their DDA training compliance requirements.
Ensure new employees understand training requirements and enroll employees to assist with meeting the requirements.
Responsible for ensuring required trainings are offered on a regular basis and during orientation by either teaching or serving as backup instructor for identified training classes.
Attains certification to teach identified trainings, including CPR, First Aid, Mandt, and Incident Reporting.
Ensures that appropriate training is offered to maintain compliance with state training regulations and address agency-specific staff training needs.
Responsible for The Arc Montgomery County's Maryland Board of Nursing (MBON) tracking procedures.
Qualifications Master's degree plus four years of relevant professional experience or Bachelors' degree plus six years of relevant professional experience.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Word.
Must be able to effectively communicate in written and spoken English.
Must demonstrate the ability to independently solve problems and create efficient systems.
$75,970 - $79,816 depending on education and experience.
